Analysing The Sims 4 Dream Decorator Trailer Still Images – Part One

Are you getting excited yet?
This article will showcase still images taken from the launch trailer for the Sims 4's brand new game pack 'Dream Home Decorator' due to release June 1st.
I will take a little time to analyse some details and ideas I have discovered. Remember, this is all just my thoughts and opinions and does not reflect what the actual game will be like on release.
The sole reason for this post is for fun and to build up the excitement for release day. Feel free to sign up and leave your comments about how your feeling about this pack coming out.
Disclaimer: There are tons of items in Sims 4, so if I make the mistake of thinking something is new, I apologise in advance.

Lots to share
I will break my analyst down into different parts as there is just way too much to cover in one go. Let's get started and bask in the loveliness of all the new details we spy on along the way.
New outfits?
The trailer starts with our chief home decorator, Patina Wainscot, in an instagramsque style shot.
I noticed, well, it's hard not to see her very vibrant jumpsuit. I am not 100% sure these are new. But I assume so. I am not super keen on the pattern here, are you? Maybe I am just fussy.
The man's outfit is suited for, say, an older man, I reckon. It doesn't seem to fit this age of sim, in my opinion, but they are both excellent additions to the game nonetheless.

Modular Shelves are here.
Is Patina dancing for joy and in awe of her work in the shot above? Who knows.
What I do know is that these modular shelves that are coming will finally give us that flexibility in our rooms that we have been missing. I am very excited to explore this new feature. Are you?
I love the chairs; they look very chic! The tv unit has a clean design too. There appear to be new clutter items too!

Showing off
We learned that sharing your work on your blog and social media is the key to spreading the word about your services. So, what better way to share that than to show off a good 'before' and 'after' comparison shot.
Just look at this gorgeous transformation above.
New bed:
Get rid of the messy shoe rack and add a gorgeous accent piece:
Create a better storage space so I can hide my junk:
Get rid of the bland colour scheme that doesn't show off my personality :
Simply gorgeous!

The new items are divine.
This room screams homely to me.
I love the pink three-tiered storage bin type item in the corner. The circular side table is very modern but so cute on its little stumpy wooden legs.
I even love the geometric styled paper. These colours work well with this space.
There is so much colour and fun in one room.
I am not sure what the bowl on the table is for, if it has a purpose, or is just a decoration piece.

Spoilt for choice
This shot briefly shows a lot of the different arrangements that are possible with these new modular shelves.
You have gotta admit; these are cool, right?

Perfect decorators office space
Omg! This table with the little slots for pens and other stationery is soo cute. I hope the little shelf off to the bottom of this desk can have clutter items plopped onto it. This desk is beautiful.
I love the mood board behind packed with decorating inspo and floor plans. This board brings those little details that make the gameplay seem so realistic. I am all for this.
The little pink ornament, is it a llama, is it a pink deer? Oh deery me, I do not doe!
If you have a better idea of what it is, please share 🙂

Now this is a huuuge kitchen
The new cooker hob can be placed on any counter, which was a confirmed thing. I love the toaster grill thingy on the counter. The barstools and dining chairs are gorgeous and perfect for the modern-day kitchen.
Everything looks well designed so far, in my opinion. Even though I am not sure how practical it is to cook in, this kitchen looks sleek.

Sofa's stealin' the show.
The sofas are amazingly awesome. I think this is something the game has needed. Long corner couches are so in trend; now we get to add them to our game!
I love the circular plant wall decorations. Very cute.
The artwork is full of colour and simple designs that blend well with this space. The pampas grass feather plant is gorgeous too.

Revamping the nightlife.
It looks like this client is happy with the new bar renovations. Yes, we can decorate and build community spaces too.
This bar seems fancy pantsy to me!
Oh and there's stumpy the table again! Hey, stumpy!👋

Questioning the client's tastes
This client evidently loves orange and green. I mean, look at her funky green hair!
As you can see from her little thought bubble, she is yearning for a room to reflect her favourite colours.
Her current room certainly won't do. Blues, greys... dark wood *yawns

Ta daaaaa! What a difference.
Wow, this is such a fun change. The theme is unique, but it is what the client asked, after all.
Will she like it, I wonder?

Face of happiness
I think the 'big reveal' was a winner!
